Maris Zurliene

About Me

Maris Zurliene is a student- athlete who attends Mater Dei Catholic High School in Breese, Illinois. She participates on the varsity volleyball and basketball teams. Maris aspires to play at least four years of Division 1 basketball, graduate high school as a valedictorian, and most importantly, to glorify the Lord in everything she does. While a part of the CEO program, Maris intends to create a Christ- centered basketball training program, called “More Than a Jersey Number.” While using her passion of playing basketball to provide training opportunities to the youth, she’d also like to use this platform to help others see their worth in Christ, as more than a player on a court. Maris’s recent achievements include committing to Lipscomb University to continue her academic and athletic careers, being elected National Honor Society President for the 2024- 2025 school year, and winning class 2A basketball state her sophomore year. An interesting fact about Maris is that 90% of the things she owns are pink!
